Writing the Future (Poster Series)
I created three posters portraying a bleak future and commenting on social issues. The first poster sheds light on the detrimental impact of fast fashion on our planet. The second one delves into the internal conflict between aspirations and financial pressures, coupled with the isolation prevalent in individuals chasing their dreams in big cities. The third poster serves as a commentary on the power and wealth hierarchy within our societal framework.
For the aesthetic choice, I was heavily influenced by pop art but wanted to make a hyper-realistic version of it to create a visual conflict between the color and the style. None of the posters look like something we would experience in real life but every little element in these posters is in fact something that exists in real life, therefore it creates an eerie feeling for the viewers. For me, it reflects how we view the future: so close yet so unpredictable.
